OVERVIEW ON THE OREGON TRAIL GAME

On the 21st of January 2008, Datin Dr Norizan assigned all of us to work on the computer games. There were few games that all of us had to find. I and Revathy worked on The Oregon Trail game. I have to say that finding and to get ourselves to play the game for free was not easy as I thought it would be. It took almost an hour to actually get to the website and play it online for free. Firstly, I typed out ‘play Oregon Trail game for free’ on the space given in Yahoo Web. There were several links stated on the page. Clicking to one of those, I managed to play the game.

The Oregon Trail game is an educational computer game and it is safe to say that it is an INTERGRATIVE COMPUTER ASSISTED LANGUAGE LEARNING (CALL) as it is an edutainment type of game. After playing this game, I feel that it is very suitable for the school students. This game requires me to think thoroughly on the situations. Together with that, there would be some particular options that I have to look on. Each option that I make would have its own consequences. There are few things to be kept in mind while playing.

Firstly, I have to make the right and choice when it comes to choosing the amount of clothes, supplies and food. Having all this in beyond the limit, would result in waste and costs loads of money. I had to make some calculations in order to store my given cash wisely. Apart from that, this game can enhance one’s general knowledge. What I am trying to say by this is, we can get to know about the historical facts on the particular place without actually getting to there. While completing the task, I was asked few times to stop and take a look at certain places which one of them was Chimney Rock. Besides that, this game requires me to plan my journey wisely. There are loads of obstacles while I was playing. For instance if there is no ferry, we can either continue the journey and the risks are extremely high or to just wait at the place. Wanting to wait however would take some time but will result in a reduction of the river’s depth.

Not only that, along the journey numerous actions can take place and this includes bad weather, diseases, lacking of food supplies and one of the member’s death. The main criteria in scoring this game are having enough cash and food supplies by the end of the day. In conclusion, Oregon Trail serves a very good graphic and is an interesting game. INTRODUCTION TO WEBLOG

Good day everyone! How are you guys doing? Hope you guys are in pink of health. Well, the main purpose of me creating this blog is simply because it is part of my course work. In my opinion, blog is a personal online diary of yours whereby you can tell about yourself. Not only that, you can come up with anything that is certainly interesting with music and graphics! I have to say that having your own blog of many kind introduces us to many stuffs. As for me, the creation of blog enchances me to come up with my own ideas which can be shared by the others. Sharing ideas with everyone is very fun as we can get view from others about the topic that is being discussed. After all, sharing is caring! Utilizing this page for many interesting stuffs is my main concern. I would want everyone out there to be equipped with loads of adventurous and fun facts. For now, in my page, I have posted all my assignments. Other than just decorating, blog helps us to express our fellings easily and without any complications.
